Behold the Bountiful Harvest

It is that time of year. The harvest is beginning, at least for some things. We have been fortunate this year. Not that we grew anything ourselves (maybe next year). But fortunate that we know some wonderful people who shared their bounty with us in the form of freshly picked apples and pears. And fortunate that the Farmer's Market has finally made its way to our town, where we found a multitude of fresh bell peppers (among other things!). Close, convenient, fresh food. What could be better?

p.s. We were also given some fresh tomatoes from my mom's garden and homemade strawberry jam (which we have had a steady supply of this year), but they didn't make it home in time for the photo shoot. They are part of the bounty we are grateful for none-the-less.

I love those veggies. They look fantastic.

On another note, check out my blog - http://anniebananie.wordpress.com/2007/09/10/i-have-been-tagged-meme/ ... You have been tagged to fill out some random thoughts about yourself. Sometimes mindless distraction is good.
